Comcast names Steven A. White West Division President

The Comcast Corporation, one of the nation’s leading providers of entertainment, information and communications products and services, announced that it has named Steven A. White as President of the company’s West Division.

White will be the senior executive responsible for Comcast’s video, high speed Internet, and voice operations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, Utah and Wisconsin. He will lead a team of nearly 20,000 employees and will serve more than six million customers.

White will begin his role in mid-November and will report directly to Executive Vice President of Operations for Comcast Cable Dave Watson.

“Steve has a proven track record of leading a financially successful business, deploying advanced technologies, improving the customer experience and developing employees for career advancement,” said Watson. “His solid understanding of Comcast’s operations, his passion for our long-term vision on innovation, and his charismatic leadership style will ensure the West Division and our overall organization maintains its successful momentum and reaches new heights in the future.”

White replaces Brad Dusto, who served in a number of leadership roles in his 17-year career at Comcast. Earlier this year, Dusto expressed his desire to devote more of his time to the many community organizations that he is so passionate about, including Habitat for Humanity.

White’s experience includes serving as the Regional Senior Vice President of the California Region, serving more than 2 million customers. Prior to that, he served as the Regional Senior Vice President of the company’s Mid-South Region, along with leading Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast — a 24-hour regional sports network based in Atlanta.

Before joining the cable industry, White spent six years with the Colgate-Palmolive Company where he held several positions of increased responsibility. He has 27 years of experience in sales, marketing, operations, and general management.

White holds a bachelor of arts degree from Indiana University. He and his wife Barbita will relocate from the Bay Area to the Denver Metro area in the New Year.
