The Group Executive Board of Nokia

Guided by its clear corporate vision of connecting people in new and better ways, Nokia leadership has provided focus, direction, motivation, unity and excitement to the company that has led to its superior performance.

Nokia’s Group Executive Board is the body responsible for managing its global operations. Appointed by the Board of Directors, The Chairman and members of the Executive Board have clearly-defined responsibilities. At present, this body is composed of twelve of the world’s most innovative and driven individuals who work together to improve lives around the world through communication products and services.

Its Chairman, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, who holds the position of President and CEO of Nokia Corporation, heads the Group Executive Board. Formerly with Union Bank of Finland, he joined Nokia in 1980 and has been with the Executive Board since 1990.

Prominent Finnish politician Esko Aho holds the position of Executive Vice President for Corporate Relations and Responsibility and has been with the company since 2008.

Robert Andersson is Executive Vice President for Devices Finance, Strategy and Sourcing. An experienced manager, he joined Nokia in 1985 and was elected to the Executive Board on 2005.

Simon Beresford-Wylie is CEO for Nokia Siemens Networks and has been with Nokia since 1998 and the Executive Board since February 2005.

Timo Ihamuotila holds the position of Executive Vice President for the Sales unit. He has been with Nokia since 1993.

Mary T. McDowell, a veteran from HP-Compaq, heads the Corporate Development Office and holds the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer. Named one of 10 “Top Women in Wireless” by Fierce Wireless in 2008, she has served in the Executive Board since 2004.

Hallstein Moerk, an expert in human resources management is the Executive Vice President for Human Resources and has been with the Executive Board since 2004.

Tero Ojanperä, a technologist, holds the positions of Executive Vice President for Services and has worked in Nokia’s research units in various countries since 1990. He joined the Executive Board in 2005.

Niklas Savande is Executive Vice President of the Services unit. He has been a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board since 2006 and also sits in the Board of various companies.

Richard A. Simonson is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and has been with Nokia Group Executive Board since 2004.

Anssi Vanjoki holds the position of Executive Vice President for the Markets unit. He joined Nokia 1991. He was elected to serve the Executive Board in 1998.

Dr. Kai Öistämö is Executive Vice President for the Devices unit. Having joined Nokia in 1991, he has held a position in the Executive Board since 2005.
