The recognition given to General Mills as one of the “World’s Most Ethical Companies” is proof that General Mills’ team of board members has led the company well.
Kendall J. Powell has been the chief executive officer of the company since September 2007 and became chairman May 2008. Powell is also a member of the boards of General Mills and Medtronic. He is likewise one of the members of CPW’s Supervisory Board. He is also active in the boards of the Twin Cities United Way and the Minnesota Historical Society.
Y. Marc Belton is the executive vice president for Brand and New Business Development, and Worldwide Health. He is responsible in overseeing the global marketing functions of the company, including Consumer Insights and Gcom. He also leads the company’s health and wellness initiatives.
John Church, the senior vice president of Supply Chain, has taken care of product logistics, manufacturing and global engineering, and worldwide sourcing since 2008.

Peter Erickson is the senior vice president of Innovation, Technology and Quality. His work involves the commercialization and invention of new technologies and food products. It is also his responsibility to provide significantly higher levels of taste, convenience, and health.
Ian R. Friendly is the executive vice president and chief operating officer, U.S. Retail. He has corporate oversight of Big G, Yoplait, Meals, Pillsbury U.S., Snacks and the Baking Products Division. He also serves as an advisory board member of the Queen’s University School of Business in Kingston, Ontario
Donal Mulligan is the executive vice president and chief financial officer of General Mills. He is a member of the Twin Cities Catholic Charities board and is part of the Corporate Advisory Board of the University of Michigan’s Ross Business School.
Christopher D. O’Leary is the executive vice president and chief operating officer for the International division. He oversees General Mills Canada and has the direct operating responsibility of the International Division.
Roderick A. Palmore is the executive vice president, general counsel, chief compliance and risk management officer. He has overall responsibility for the company’s global legal activities, corporate ethics and compliance, and corporate security.
Jeffrey J. Rotsch is General Mills’ executive vice president. He handles Worldwide Sales and Channel Development. He leads a team that works with the company’s retail sales of consumer foods products worldwide. He also oversees General Mills’ Bakeries & Foodservice business.
Christina L. Shea is the senior vice president, external relations and president of the Community Action and Foundation. Shea is responsible for overseeing and coordinating General Mills’ relationships with important external constituencies, like industry associations, policy makers, and people from the media.
